I understand the men’s room was equally as cramped. If you can bear weight for a few steps it’s not an issue. The ladies room is tight and I’m not sure someone in a wheelchair could access it. There is an entrance on both 4th ave and 5th ave, if you have mobility issues the 4th ave side has no step and inside everything is accessible without any steps as well. I would carve out a few hours here at the end of a hot day’s sightseeing again. The upscale name doesn’t really fit the façadea dive-bar with a weather-beaten black awning, and a nondescript, red brick exterior that gives. Every summer Sunday, they host barbecues in their backyard, which is bigger and brighter than most in Brooklyn. The local patrons were all very pleasant and this is a safe neighborhood to walk to the diner at 3am. At the bars below, you’ll find a wide variety of parties, DJs and special events. The restrooms although shallow making it hard for a tall person to shut the door, were also clean (for NY of course), no NY restrooms will rival middle America. Kelly’s probably falls under the ‘dive bar’ category however the glasses and bar were very clean.
